Nestled in the Piney Woods of East Texas, Parkway Baptist Church began as a mission in 1975, meeting in a mobile home. In 1988 the sanctuary was built, followed closely by a fellowship hall, both using volunteer labor, and the congregation constituted a church. There is Sunday School for all ages, an active choir program, Women's Missionary Union, and a food pantry. All faiths are welcome at Parkway, and visitors often comment about the warm fellowship which is felt there. The pastor and members extend an invitation to everyone to visit Parkway Baptist anytime. |
